kings of leon - aha shake heartbreak

the guitar sounds awesome. but the bass is repetative. the drums kindof sound boring. but the guitar is definately awesome. the vocals aren't even that great. the guitar is the best part of this band. that's probably why i like 'em. they give you alot of like good inspiration. there's alot of parts that're entirely around the guitar. you can tell they write their songs around the guitar. i think the guy doesn't even write his lyrics until the guitar parts done. i mean the guy had a couple good spots with his singing but it was mostly guitar. they like repetative shit. again the guitar is the reason this song sounds good. the drum isnt even good. the bass is repetative. and the vocals are just kinda thrown on top. if it wasnt for the guitar player they'd suck completely. it's interesting that a band is so one-dimensional. like the drummer and the bass player and the singer all base their shit off the guitar. the drums are sometimes good. but the guitar is the main thing in this band. the lead and the rhythm guitar together. they're like a great combo. the bass player just sounds depressed. but the guitar is like so fresh. thats why i like it alot. and the singers not even that good. these are like my guitar heroes i guess you could say. like they inspire me in my own stuff. like really this is badass guitaring. like the lead guitar? and even the rhythm guitar in the background. the drummer and the bass player just dont seem to get it. and the singer doesnt seem to get it either. the guitar is kinda shitty. but the bass and drums are always shitty. the guitars what makes it interesting. and all the singer does is get raspy and shit but he doesn't do anything good. it's like only the guitarist that does anything good. it's just annoying. bands where one person does everything annoy. like when everyone relies on one person to be good. the rest of the band sucks. like not a single one of them could stand on their own two feet. but the guitar is way better. the bass player is just so simple in what he plays. its just not hard to play. probably could figure it out in five seconds. its three notes. this is kendall style music. you just need to take the guitar out so it doesnt sound cool. it doesnt even sound that cool. the guitar is what sounds anything near badass in this band. great guitar parts. everythings fucking repetative surrounding the guitar. like this would sound good just vocals and guitar. the guitar like jumps out. but i think it would be cool if they performed the entire album electric guitar and vocals. and fuck the drums and fuck the bass. they just hide the goodness of the guitar. and the guitar's easily the best part of this band. it's just so good. can you see how it inspires me? do you ever hear me stuff that sounds like this? 'cause i've got a great example here of how to do it. this reminds me of pete doherty. but the drums are so shitty. and the bass is so shitty too. it just ruins the music. it would be better without the bass and the drums. its a shame that this band doesn't have a better drummer and bass player. i'd love to hear just the guitars and the vocals and see how that sounded. that's so sweet. if you listen to it you can tell they go back and forth. and the vocals are so stupid. they don't even mean anything. like the only reason i like this band is because of the guitars. guitars are so awesome. they're almost like... mod punk. its like mod punk meets like rockabilly. but only the worst parts of rockabilly. like the stupid repetative drums and the stupid repetative bass. but i mean its not bad. because of the guitars though. like what the guitars are doing its so far ahead of any other band. like it reminds me of the first time i heard bloc party. 'cause i used to be a hardcore guitarist. so thats why i liked bands with like... hardcore guitar players. but like the more i became more of a singer, thats when sigur ros started to appeal to me. see to me sigur ros is like the singer band, and like, kings of leon is the guitar band. like if you took those guitar riffs from kings of leon put them with like sigur ros vocals, you'd have a pretty good combination there, maybe with like massive attack drums. that'd be a pretty cool combination wouldn't it? maybe that'll be a band i put together one day. the guitars so good. like without it these songs would suck. its all about how finesse the guitar is. like i'd love to find out who the guitarist is for this band. they do a badass job at what they do. there's the fucking annoying bass player. repetative shit. see how much better it sounds without the drums? the singer isn't even that good though. his impulses are shitty. fire him and hire jonsi. jonsi's the lead singer for sigur ros. yeah fire this guy. he sqawks like a fucking parrot. another repetative drum and bass song. see take the guitarist from this band and put 'em in sigur ros. that'd be a fucking badass pair. they're wasted in this band. all they do is add little bits and bobs to the guitar part. and they're nothing significant either. like i think it'd be cool to get two guitarists, maybe i can sing, and just cover this album with just electric guitars and me. or maybe it'll just be instrumental kings of leon. no vocals. just two guitars. electric. and we'll cover the whole album. that would be pretty fucking cool. better than this shit. its like taking the guitarists and highlighting that shit. these guys just needa fire their drummer and bass player. they do nothing but destroy the songs.

sigur ros - meo suo i eyrum vio spilum endalaust

sigur ros is the music of people hiding. it's soothing for sure but i think its also the ultimate hideaway music. there's something about it which really seems to kinda take hold whilst you're listening. like you're just sitting there and thinking ot yourself... hmm, this is brilliant. and that's the thing about these guys. they're really simple with what they do but the emotions of jonsi certainly overpower most of the other elements of the stuff. if you think about it its kinda like Slow-core orwhatever you want to call that genre, if you speed their things up to about 2 or 3 times the original speed you have something that sounds like a symphony. which to me is interesting.
